   This week, K2 found a really fun game that helps identify letters of the alphabet. To check it out at home, go to letsfindout.scholastic.com.  Once there, you'll need the following password:stpetersk2

Coming soon....Open House

   Open House will take place on Mon, Sept 12.  Join us at 5:45 for a little socializing, at 6:20 in the Chapel for faculty introductions and information from SPPAT and then come hear from your K teachers at 7:00.  We'll talk about our expectations, plans and goals for this school year, as well as field trips and other important info. (These meetings are for parents, not students.)

   Most importantly, your child has made a special gift just for you! 

     Looking forward to seeing you all at Open House.

   We had a really fun week of learning last week.  We practiced reading books by looking at the pictures and telling the story.  We began writing teaching books. We learned more about the life cycle of plants and began our study of maps.  We are learning each and every day!

Wrapping up our first week

Hello out there.  I wanted to post some cute photos of our Kinder cuties to show what a fun week we've had.  The class visited our specialty classes, attended Spirit Day, met with Reading Buddies, learned the rules and routines of our classroom and we also had some yummy ice cream on Friday.  It was a fantastic first week of school!

   Today was a super fun Friday.  Snow Bear visited our Spirit Assembly.  He played his pan drum and told a story.

   K2 also had their second visit from our 4th grade Reading Buddies.  We love our buddies.

  Lastly, we had a special visit with Snow Bear. He began his lesson with a relaxing song played on his flute. 

   

    Snow Bear talked to us about arrowheads, boomerangs, drums, bowls with spoons and forks.  All of these items were made by hand just like the Native Anericans did many years ago. 

   Finally, ask your child what he/she know about a globe. We learned a song about globes, too. 🌎🌍🌏

First Chapel

K2 enjoyed our first chapel of this school year. 

    

   Beginning next week, Chapel will start at 8:20, rather than 8:30.
