Happy Spring!
K2 worked in the garden harvesting herbs and helping Ms. Maria prune some bushes. Did your child bring lavender and rosemary home?
Kindergarten had two special visitors this week. The first was Ms. Melanie from a dentist's office. She taught us about the tools used while cleaning and checking teeth. She also showed us some cool tricks!
The second visitor was Madison's dog, Hazel. We loved seeing a dog at school and she loved our tennis balls!
On Friday, K2 had a Writing Workshop celebration. We have been working so hard writing "How-To" books. We chose our best stories and edited, revised, illustrated and added covers to complete our best-ever books. Then, we shared the books with First grade!

Take a peek at our week!
Another week of learning and fun was had.
The Kinders planted 2 apple trees on Monday. Ask your child when the apples will be ready.
The children learned about George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and Abraham Lincoln. Ms. Lisa led 2 lessons in portrait drawing.
The children also had a special opportunity to learn from Snow Bear in the tipi. He taught us about hunting, gathering, making fire and making rope. So interesting!
We had another visit that we will never forget: meeting Ms. Melanie and Mr. Tim who are missionaries in Cambodia. They told us stories about working with the kids in Cambodia and taught us several fun games.

January
What a beautiful start to our week. Did you see the double rainbow? This picture was taken from our classroom. Gorgeous!
Monday was our day to work in our garden. The kids pulled up old kale. They said it smelled like rotten pumpkins. Good thing the compost bin was ready for us.
We have also been learning about length. Ms. Tracy cut a piece of yarn that was the length of each child. Then, the kids measured with their yarn and found things that were shorter and longer. Pretty cool!
